Every day, an average of 10 000 – 12 000 litres of air passes through a person’s lungs and its quality is highly important for human health. The air around us indoors is often more polluted than the air outdoors. It is essential to choose high-quality natural materials for the interiors and at the same time to ensure fresh air is supplied inside a building on a regular basis. If it is lacking, people frequently experience fatigue, nausea, or a decrease in their concentration.
The simplest type of ventilation is natural ventilation through an open window, however this method is currently insufficient to ensure a continuous supply of healthy air to spaces in such a volume as to meet the demands for the health and comfort of its inhabitants. Controlled heat recovery is an alternative to this method, which ensures a continuous exchange of indoor and outdoor air without the need for any other ventilation and at the same time recovers heat from the exhaust air, thus saving costs.
Ventilation through WOLF heat recovery in the Metropolis project
The creators of the Metropolis project have placed emphasis on providing its inhabitants with clean, fresh and healthy air free of dust and pollen in all spaces. Ventilation will be provided in the flats and apartments in the form of an equal-pressure ventilation system with heat recovery from the global brand WOLF. Fresh filtered air will be provided in the living spaces by Wolf CWL-F 150 Excellent and Wolf CWL-F 300 Excellent heat recovery units. The distribution elements will ensure a continuous supply of filtered air to the rooms, while acoustic grilles above the doors will be used to remove the exhaust air (CO2 exhaust, moisture, odour). The heat recovered from the exhaust air is used to heat the supplied outside air, which significantly reduces heating costs and saves energy. Thanks to heat recovery in the premises, optimal humidity will also be ensured, thus preventing the formation of mould.
“From the outset, Metropolis was designed to be at a top standard, manifesting quality not just from the outside but also inside. Creating healthy living conditions as well fresh and healthy air are one of our priorities. This requirement is met by the selection of a contractor for top class heat recovery – the global brand Wolf,” said the project developer Sebastien Dejanovski from Mint Investments.
WOLF premium heat recovery demonstrates high efficiency, is extremely quiet and uses higher class of filter series (F7) than required by the standard. At the same time, it is easy to maintain.
The German company Wolf is one of the leading innovative providers of ventilation systems in Europe. Its products are easy to use, efficient and highly reliable.
